Crayon in the dryer
While doing laundry today I took a load of my boys school pants out of the brand new dryer and there were red spots all over them. I dug everything out and there at the bottom of the dryer was a red crayon wrapper. Needless to say I was freaking and yelled for my husband. I got online and searched for 'get crayon out of fabric'. You would not believe the steps some people took to clean the mess up! I am too lazy though, so we put the load back in the washer and added oxy clean to the normal laundry soap we use and set the machine on sanitize and heavy for the soil setting. Figuring this will get some of it out and anything left over we would start hand scrubbing with 'goop'. Next we took peanut oil (my favorite crayon cleaner on our flat screen) and wiped the dryer down, then ran a load of rags on the hottest setting. Now 2 hours later and the result is.........no red spots on any of the cloths and the inside of my dryer is white! I am so glad I didn't spend all the time scrubbing each spot with the multiple cleaners mentioned online!
