Crayon in the dryer

While doing laundry today I took a load of my boys school pants out of the brand new dryer and there were red spots all over them. I dug everything out and there at the bottom of the dryer was a red crayon wrapper. Needless to say I was freaking and yelled for my husband. I got online and searched for 'get crayon out of fabric'. You would not believe the steps some people took to clean the mess up! I am too lazy though, so we put the load back in the washer and added oxy clean to the normal laundry soap we use and set the machine on sanitize and heavy for the soil setting. Figuring this will get some of it out and anything left over we would start hand scrubbing with 'goop'. Next we took peanut oil (my favorite crayon cleaner on our flat screen) and wiped the dryer down, then ran a load of rags on the hottest setting. Now 2 hours later and the result is.........no red spots on any of the cloths and the inside of my dryer is white! I am so glad I didn't spend all the time scrubbing each spot with the multiple cleaners mentioned online!

What's up with Blockbuster?

So, we go rent some movies and my husband walks out with 4 DVDs and 2 ice creams for the boys and it cost him $27. Only one was a new release, 1 was a sponge bob show from the 90s, 1 power ranger movie from the early 90s and Gremlins, I believe is from the 80s. They now charge $5 to rent any movie! That is ridiculous! I can go buy movies at Wal-mart for $5 in the big bins they have! Heck there at Blockbuster was a table of pre-viewed DVDs 4 for $20! And they did away with the no late fee thing and it costs $1 a day...why not go to the red box at the grocery store?

There is NO WAY I will ever go back to Blockbuster. I have had one of their membership things that you pay so much a year to belong and now they want me to buy a different membership so each movie costs less. Why not jack up the cost to rent a video game? Leave the movies alone. Heck for that price I can get a pay per view off the satellite and not have to drive anyplace.

I feel bad because I bought Blockbuster gift cards for people last Christmas. I am so sorry to all of you! I thought it would be a nice addition to toss in with gifts. Guess I was wrong.
